Health & Safety Measures

The health and safety of all attendees is of high priority. The following are highlights of the Bermuda Championship’s spectator protocols to promote the health and safety of all who will be on-site.

 

Masks— Required upon entry and to be worn throughout the golf course unless stopped to eat or drink.

 

Sanitizing – Attending individuals will be encouraged to bring their own “mini-bottle” (2oz or less) of hand sanitizer. Stationary hand sanitizer units will be placed throughout the golf course at the entrances, restroom, and concession locations.

 

Social Distancing – Ensure social distancing is practiced everywhere possible by maintaining 6-feet of separation (families excluded).

 

Payment Methods – All major credit cards will be accepted at all Concession locations. Non-cash transactions are recommended.

 

Autographs – For the safety of the players and gallery members alike, autographs will be prohibited at the 2020 Bermuda Championship.

ALMOST SOLD OUT, NO TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE GATE

 

Daily attendance is strictly limited to 500 general admission spectators per day, Thursday, Friday (sold out), Saturday (sold out), Sunday (sold out). Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spectators can navigate over 200 acres of open space on the property while maintaining the required social distancing measures.

Please note that all spectators must have a ticket to gain entry onto the tournament grounds, regardless of age. Junior tickets will not be available in 2020.

Admissions Protocols/Know Before You Go

Prior to Arrival – All spectators are encouraged to take their own temperature and review the CDC’s symptom questionnaire before departing for the tournament. If a spectator’s temperature is 99.5 degrees or higher, the individual is asked to stay at home and seek medical advice.

 

Arrival to Tournament – Spectators will be temperature screened and asked to answer a series of CDC questionnaire questions when going through the admissions gate.

 

Masks – Required upon entry and to be worn throughout the golf course unless stopped to eat or drink.

Before you go, know what can and cannot be brought through the gates. Please review the lists below and leave any non-approved items in your car or at home. Prohibited bags of any kind cannot be left at security checkpoints.

 

The tournament does not provide a “bag check” facility. All bags must conform to the PGA TOUR’s bag policy and will be searched upon entering. The PGA TOUR tournament bag policy is available to download here.

Bag Policy & Approved Items

  • Personal bags 6″ x 6″ or smaller
  • Clear plastic, vinyl or other carry items not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • A one gallon clear re-sealable plastic bag
  • Mobile phones, tablets, and PDA’s – MUST be on Silent mode and adhere to TOUR’s Mobile Device Policy
  • Umbrellas without sleeve
  • Portable radios with headsets
  • Medically necessary supplies, Strollers, small diaper bags, plastic baby bottles, and other necessary baby supplies (infant must be with carrier) – items subject to search
  • Collapsible chairs without chair bags
  • Binoculars without case
  • Seat cushions that do not require a carrying case or that do not have pockets or compartments
  • Motorized scooters or other personal transportation devices when used as a mobility aid by individuals with mobility impairment

  • Bags larger than a small purse (6 x 6) including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags or chair bags.
  • Beepers
  • Bicycles not allowed inside admission areas or on the Tournament grounds
  • Cameras Friday-Sunday/binocular cases
  • Clear, plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12 x 6 x 12.
  • Computers or laptops
  • Coolers
  • Drones
  • Explosives and/or Fireworks of any kind
  • Illegal substances
  • Ladders and/or step stools or other similar items
  • Laser pointers
  • Lawn or oversized chairs, seat cushions or chair bags (no seat cushions in a carrying case or that have pockets or compartments)
  • Metal-spiked golf shoes
  • Outside food or beverages except for infant needs.
  • Pets/Animals (except for Service animals)
  • Picnic baskets
  • Plastic, metal or glass cups, cans or containers of any kind except for medical or infant needs
  • Poles or rods
  • Posters, signs or banners
  • Radios, televisions or other electronic noise producing items
  • Segways
  • Video cameras (All week)
  • Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)
  • Whistles, horns or noise makers
  • Other items deemed unlawful, dangerous or disruptive by the PGA TOUR/Tournament Security Officials
  • Please Note: Strollers, plastic baby bottles and other baby supplies are permitted on the course. (infant must be with carrier)

 

For security purposes, you hereby consent to the reasonable inspection of your person and property before entering the Tournament, which may include metal detection.

Mobile Phone Policy

Spectators are allowed to take photos during the week with their mobile devices throughout the golf course, except in areas of competition during official rounds or when requested by players, security, and TOUR officials to refrain from taking a photo. Receiving or placing phone calls will remain limited to areas outside of play.

Reminder: Point and shoot, film or DSLR cameras are not permitted for general spectator use.

Mobile Device Policy:

    • Devices must be on silent at all times; flash may not be used.
    • Devices may be used to capture video, audio and photos (content) in all areas throughout tournament week.
    • Content may be used for personal purposes (e.g., personal social media); no commercial use.
    • No live streaming or real-time coverage (e.g., no shot-by-shot coverage).
    • Data use (e.g., texting) is permitted in all areas throughout tournament week.
    • Phone calls are allowed only in designated areas.
    • Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies or media.
    • All posted signage and instructions from tournament staff must be observed.
    • Failure to comply with this policy may result in the revocation of your ticket.

General Tournament FAQs

Are tickets available for purchase?

Tickets are now on sale online through Premier Tickets. A limited number of tickets are available per day from Thursday, October 29 to Sunday, October 31.

Do children need a ticket to attend?

*NEW for 2020* All spectators, regardless of age, will require a ticket for entry for the Bermuda Championship. NO junior tickets will be available.

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?

Tickets will not be available for purchase at the tournament gates. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase online only.

Where is parking located?

All parking will be FREE for spectators. Click here for additional parking information and maps.

 

  • Public Car/Electric Vehicle Parking: White Hill Field (off Middle Road). Complimentary shuttles will run continuously to and from Port Royal Golf Course all four days. Shuttles will begin running 15 minutes before gates open
  • Public Bike Parking: Death Valley Field OR White Hill Field
When do tournament gates open?

Gates will open 30 minutes before tee times, Thursday-Sunday. Visit our Schedule of Events for daily times. Gate times are approximate and based on tee times.

 

REMINDER: All spectators, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the gate.

When will the final field be available and where can I find it?

Golfers have until the week before the event to commit. The final field of competitors will be released the Friday prior to Tournament week. They will be posted on our website.

Are the tee times available?

Tee times for Thursday and Friday are typically posted the day before tournament play begins and will be posted to the website.

Can I bring a bag with me?

Certain items are restricted at PGA TOUR events. Bags must be smaller than 6” x 6” x 6”, with the with the exception of clear bags measuring 12” x 12” x 6” or less. Click here to see the official PGA TOUR bag policy.

Can I bring outside food & beverages? Will there be concessions?

ALCOHOL POLICY

No alcoholic beverages may be served or sold to anyone under the age of eighteen (18) years. No food or beverages may be brought into the course. Concessions are available.

 

CONCESSIONS

Numerous concession stands are located on the course serving food and beverage items.

No outside food or beverages are allowed in the tournament.

Can I still attend if it's raining?

If it rains any day of the tournament, play will continue as long as it is deemed safe to do so. The PGA TOUR and the tournament staff will always keep spectators informed at the earliest possible moment of any changes made on this policy based upon situational circumstances.

Does the tournament offer a Will Call location?

Will Call is located at the Secondary Admissions Gates. Photo ID will be required at Will Call to pick up tickets.

Golf Etiquette

  • Stay quiet and stand still when the players are about to hit the ball
  • “Hands in the air” means to stop and be quiet while golfers are playing their shots
  • Stay behind the rope at all times
  • Help patrons be considerate of each other and kneel or sit down whenever possible, to allow better viewing for those behind you
  • For your own safety, follow the directions of the tournament marshals
